ALMA Awards 2012: Bella Thorne on her Latino inspirations, new projects

Disney Channel cutie Bella Thorne may be only 14 years old, but the actress-dancer has appeared in nearly two dozen films and television series to date and has no intention of slowing down with plans to release a new album in addition to filming the second season of her hit show, “Shake It Up!”
“I’m finalizing a deal with a record company,” announced Thorne in an interview with NBC Latino on the ALMA Awards red carpet. “I’m really excited.”
Nominated for an ALMA Award for “Favorite TV Actress – Comedy,” Thorne – whose late father Reinaldo was Cuban – was proud to walk the red carpet at the awards show honoring Latinos in entertainment. And the icing on the cake? The added bonus of meeting idol Christina Aguilera and presenting an ALMA onstage alongside “Shake It Up!” co-star Adam Irigoyen.
Watch Thorne chat about her newest projects and hear her inspirational advice for kids dealing with bullies.
